Nishnawbe Aski Police Service Board constituted
1. A First Nation board is constituted under the name “Nishnawbe Aski Police Service Board” in English and “Commission de service de police Nishnawbe Aski” in French.
Policing responsibility
2. (1) The Nishnawbe Aski Police Service Board shall have policing responsibility for the following First Nation reserves:
1. Albany (Reserve No. 06258).
2. Apitipi Anicinapek (Wahgoshig) (Reserve No. 06172).
3. Aroland (Reserve No. 06080).
4. Attawapiskat (Reserves Nos. 06259 and 06260).
5. Bearskin Lake (Reserve No. 06319).
6. Brunswick House (Reserves Nos. 06162 and 06163).
7. Cat Lake (Reserve No. 06332).
8. Chapleau Cree (Reserves Nos. 06165, 06166 and 06167).
9. Chapleau Ojibway (Reserves Nos. 06153 and 09036).
10. Constance Lake (Reserve No. 06294).
11. Deer Lake (Reserve No. 06339).
12. Eabametoong (Reserve No. 06296).
13. Fort Severn (Reserve No. 06331).
14. Kasabonika Lake (Reserve No. 06322).
15. Kashechewan (Reserve No. 06258).
16. Kee-way-win (Reserve No. 09097).
17. Kingfisher (Reserve No. 06324).

(2) The board shall also have policing responsibility for the portion of Moose Factory Island that is not part of the Moose Cree First Nation reserve.
Composition and appointment of Board
3. (1) The Nishnawbe Aski Police Service Board shall be composed of nine members appointed in accordance with subsections (2) and (3).
(2) Each of the following entities shall appoint a single member to the board:
1. The Mushkegowuk Council.
2. The Keewaytinook Okimakanak (Northern Chiefs Council).
3. The Matawa First Nations Council.
4. The Shibogama First Nations Council.
5. The Wabun Tribal Council.
6. The Windigo First Nations Council.
7. The Independent First Nations Alliance.
8. Nishnawbe Aski Nation Executive Council.
(3) The First Nations that are within the board’s areas of policing responsibility but that are not members of any of the entities listed under subsection (2) shall appoint one member whose appointment must be agreed upon by all of those First Nations.
Term of office
4. A member of the Nishnawbe Aski Police Service Board shall serve until the earliest of,
(a) three years from the date of appointment;
(b) the date a replacement is appointed; or
(c) the date their appointment is otherwise revoked.
Transition
5. (1) In this section,
“old board” means the Nishnawbe Aski Police Service Board incorporated under the Not-for-Profit Corporations Act, 2010; (“ancienne commission”)
“new board” means the Nishnawbe Aski Police Service Board constituted under this Regulation. (“nouvelle commission”)
(2) A person who was appointed to the old board by an entity listed in subsection 3 (2) or by the entities referred to in subsection 3 (3) and who is, on the day this Regulation comes into force, a member of the old board is deemed to have been appointed to the new board by the same entity or entities who appointed the person to the old board unless the person is ineligible to be a member of a police service board under subsection 33 (4) or (5) of the Act.
(3) For the purposes of determining the term of office under section 4, the person appointed to the new board under subsection (2) is deemed to have been appointed on the same day that the person was appointed to the old board.
