Town of New Tecumseth

Definitions

1. (1) In this section,

“assistance” means a total or partial exemption from the development charges imposed by the Town of New Tecumseth under the Development Charges Act, 1997; (“aide”)

“assistance period” means the period that begins on January 28, 2025 and ends on the fourth anniversary of that date. (“période d’aide”)

Assistance permitted

(2) The Town of New Tecumseth may, in accordance with this section, grant assistance directly or indirectly to Honda Canada Inc. during the assistance period.

Total amount of assistance

(3) The total of the amount of assistance that is granted under subsection (2) shall not exceed the amount equal to the total amount of development charges imposed by the Town of New Tecumseth and otherwise owed by Honda Canada Inc. before the assistance in respect of the part of the gross floor area of a development that exceeds 328,000 square metres and that is less than 775,000 square metres, during the assistance period.

County of Oxford and Township of Norwich

Definitions

2. (1) In this section,

“assistance” means a total or partial exemption from the development charges imposed by the County of Oxford or the Township of Norwich under the Development Charges Act, 1997; (“aide”)

“assistance period” means the period that begins on May 7, 2026 and ends six months after that date. (“période d’aide”) O. Reg. 129/26, s. 1.

Assistance permitted

(2) The County of Oxford and the Township of Norwich may, in accordance with this section, grant assistance directly or indirectly to VDK Development Inc. during the assistance period. O. Reg. 129/26, s. 1.

Total amount of assistance

(3) The total amount of assistance that may be granted during the assistance period under subsection (2) shall not exceed,

(a)  $800,000, in the case of the County of Oxford; and

(b)  $400,000, in the case of the Township of Norwich. O. Reg. 129/26, s. 1.
