Definitions

1. In this Regulation,

“out of province audiologist” means a person who is exempted from subsections 8 (1) and (2) of the Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology Act, 1991 by a regulation made under that Act and who holds the equivalent of a certificate of registration in the general class of audiology in Ontario; (“audiologiste hors province”)

“out of province dental technologist” means a person who is exempted from subsections 7 (1), (2) and (3) of the Dental Technology Act, 1991 by a regulation made under that Act; (“technologue dentaire hors province”)

“out of province dentist” means a person who is exempted from subsections 9 (1) and (2) of the Dentistry Act, 1991 by a regulation made under that Act; (“dentiste hors province”)

“out of province denturist” means a person who is exempted from subsections 8 (1), (2) and (3) of the Denturism Act, 1991 by a regulation made under that Act; (“denturologiste hors province”)

“out of province physician” means a person who is exempted from subsections 9 (1) and (3) of the Medicine Act, 1991 by a regulation made under that Act and who holds the equivalent of a certificate of registration authorizing independent practice in Ontario. (“médecin hors province”)

2. Out of province audiologists and out of province physicians are prescribed for the purposes of clause 31 (b) of the Act.

Dental devices, etc.

3. (1) Out of province dental technologists and out of province dentists are prescribed for the purposes of subclause 32 (1) (a) (ii) and clause 32 (1) (c) and 32 (3) (b) of the Act.

(2) Out of province denturists are prescribed for the purposes of subsection 32 (4) of the Act.
