This is the English version of a bilingual regulation.

1. The following fees are payable to the Crown by a commissioner appointed under section 4 of the Act:

1. For an appointment, $75.

2. For a renewal of an appointment, $50.  O. Reg. 298/92, s. 1.

2. Section 1 does not apply to the appointment or the renewal of an appointment of a commissioner who is an employee of,

(a) the Government of Canada;

(b) the Government of Ontario;

(c) a municipality in Ontario where the appointment or renewal of appointment is made upon the request of the head of the municipality; or

Note: On January 1, 2026, clause 2 (c) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “where the appointment or renewal of appointment is made upon the request of the head of the municipality” and by striking out “or” at the end. (See: O. Reg. 337/25, s. 2 (1))

(d) a children’s aid society under the Child, Youth and Family Services Act, 2017 where the appointment or renewal of appointment is made upon the request of the Ministry of Children and Youth Services.  R.R.O. 1990, Reg. 76, s. 2; O. Reg. 165/18, s. 1.

(e) the band of a First Nation in Ontario.

3. A 10-year period is prescribed for the purposes of subsections 4 (3) and (3.1) of the Act. O. Reg. 337/25, s. 3.
