Amending Reg. 1094 of R.R.O. 1990

(GENERAL)

1. (1) The English version of subsection 35 (4) of Regulation 1094 of the Revised Regulations of Ontario, 1990 is revoked and the following substituted:

(4) In the case of a death which a coroner has investigated under the Coroners Act, the coroner shall, as soon as the cause of death is known, complete and sign a medical certificate of death in the form approved by the Registrar General, stating the cause of death according to the classification of diseases adopted by reference in section 70, and shall deliver the medical certificate to the funeral director.

(2) The French version of subsection 35 (4) of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:

(4) Dans le cas d’un décès dont un coroner a fait l’investigation en application de la Loi sur les coroners, celui-ci remplit et signe, dès que la cause du décès est connue, un certificat médical de décès, rédigé selon le formulaire approuvé par le registraire général de l’état civil et qui précise cette cause selon la classification des maladies adoptée par renvoi à l’article 70, et le remet au directeur de services funéraires.

Commencement

2. (1) Subject to subsection (2), this Regulation comes into force on the day it is filed.

(2) Subsection 1 (2) comes into force on December 5, 2017.
