Amending Reg. 854 of R.R.O. 1990
(MINES AND MINING PLANTS)
1. The following provisions of Regulation 854 of the Revised Regulations of Ontario, 1990 are amended by striking out “Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities” and substituting “Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Development”:
1. Subsection 11 (8).
2. Subsection 11.1 (4).
3. Subsection 11.1.1 (4).
4. Subsection 11.2 (5).
5. Subsection 11.2.1 (4).
6. Subsection 11.2.2 (4).
7. Section 11.2.3.
2. Section 11.3 of the Regulation is revoked.
3. (1) Subsection 20 (2) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “subsections (3) and (4)” and substituting “subsection (3)”.
(2) Subsection 20 (3) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “a Table to subsection (4)” and substituting “the Table to this subsection”.
(3) Subsection 20 (3) of the Regulation is amended by adding the following Table:

(4) Subsection 20 (4) of the Regulation is revoked.
4. (1) The French version of clause 21 (1) (b) of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:
b) la nature et les circonstances de l’événement, ainsi que la blessure subie;
(2) The French version of clause 21 (2) (d) of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:
d) la nature et les circonstances de l’événement, ainsi que la blessure ou la maladie subie;
(3) The French version of clause 21 (3) (a) of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:
a) la nature et les circonstances de l’événement, ainsi que la blessure subie;
5. The French version of clause 108 (1) (b) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “boutoirs” at the end and substituting “bouteurs”.
6. (1) The French version of clause 196 (2) (a) of the Regulation is amended by striking “de lubrifier la bande” and substituting “d’appliquer de l’apprêt de courroie”.
(2) The French version of clause 196 (5) (a) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “le rouleau” and substituting “la poulie”.
7. The Table to subsection 236 (4) of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:

8. Subsection 276 (1) of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:
(1) Subject to subsections (4) and (5), a mining plant shall have at least the number of toilets and washbasins set out in Columns 2 and 3 of the Table to this subsection opposite the row in Column 1 of the Table that corresponds to the number of workers in the mining plant, as determined in accordance with subsection (3).
