Amending O. Reg. 516/06
(GENERAL)
1. (1) Subsection 22 (3) of Ontario Regulation 516/06 is amended by,
(a) striking out “two additional photocopies” wherever it appears and substituting in each case “one additional photocopy”; and
(b) striking out “a compact disc containing” and substituting “an electronic copy of”.
(2) Subsection 22 (4) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “two additional photocopies of the material and by an updated compact disc containing” and substituting “one additional photocopy of the material and by an updated electronic copy of”.
(3) Subsection 22 (5) of the Regulation is revoked.
(4) Subsection 22 (6) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “(3), (4) and (5)” and substituting “(3) and (4)”.
2. (1) Subsection 23 (2) of the Regulation is amended by,
(a) striking out “a compact disc containing” and substituting “an electronic copy of”; and
(a) striking out “for a charge of not more than five dollars” at the end and substituting “at no charge to the tenant”.
(2) Subsections 23 (3) and (4) of the Regulation are revoked and the following substituted:
(3) Instead of providing the electronic copy referred to in subsection (2), the landlord and the tenant may agree that the landlord will provide the tenant with a photocopy of the material provided under subsections 22 (1) and (2), for no more than the landlord’s reasonable out-of-pocket costs for the photocopying.
3. (1) Subsection 35 (5) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “a compact disc containing” and substituting “electronic copies of”.
(2) Subsection 35 (7) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “for a charge of not more than five dollars” at the end and substituting “at no charge to the tenant”.
(3) Subsections 35 (8) and (9) of the Regulation are revoked and the following substituted:
(8) Instead of providing the electronic copies referred to in subsection (5), the landlord and the tenant may agree that the landlord will provide the tenant with a photocopy of the information required under subsection (5), for no more than the landlord’s reasonable out-of-pocket costs for the photocopying.
Commencement
4. This Regulation comes into force on the later of July 1, 2020 and the day it is filed.
