Amending O. Reg. 348/24

(CORE EDUCATION FUNDING - LEGISLATIVE GRANTS FOR THE 2024-2025 SCHOOL BOARD FISCAL YEAR)

1. Ontario Regulation 348/24 is amended by striking out ““List of Schools Eligible for Funding Under Capital Priorities, Land Priorities, Community Hub Replacement, Child Care Capital, and EarlyON Child and Family Centres Capital”, dated January 31, 2025” wherever it appears and substituting in each case ““List of Schools Eligible for Funding Under Capital Priorities, Land Priorities, Child Care Capital, and EarlyON Child and Family Centres Capital”, dated June 30, 2025”.

2. (1) Paragraph 22 of subsection 10 (1) of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:

22.  COVID-19 Resilience Infrastructure Stream: Education Related (CVRIS-EDU) Projects, dated August 2025.

(2) Paragraph 25 of subsection 10 (1) of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:

25.  List of Schools Eligible for Funding Under Capital Priorities, Land Priorities, Child Care Capital, and EarlyON Child and Family Centres Capital, dated June 30, 2025.

3. Subsection 13 (8) of the Regulation is amended by striking out ““Memorandum 2021 B12: COVID-19 Resilience Infrastructure Stream: Education Related (CVRIS-EDU) Projects — Approvals,” dated May 7, 2021” and substituting ““COVID-19 Resilience Infrastructure Stream: Education Related (CVRIS-EDU) Projects”, dated August 2025.”

4. (1) Paragraph 2 of subsection 34 (5) of the Regulation is revoked.

(2) Paragraph 3 of subsection 34 (6) of the Regulation is revoked.

(3) Paragraph 5 of subsection 34 (7) of the Regulation is revoked.

5. Paragraph 2 of section 124 of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:

2.  The special incidence portion exceptional circumstances amount, determined as follows:

i.  Take $64,000 as a base amount.

ii.  Multiply the current fiscal year’s day school average daily enrolment of pupils by $2.60.

iii.  Take the total of the amounts determined under subparagraphs i and ii.

6. Paragraph 1 of section 168 of the Regulation is amended by striking out “$47,560” and substituting “$46,572”.

7. (1) Paragraph 2 of section 182 of the Regulation is revoked.

(2) Subparagraph 4 i of section 182 of the Regulation is amended by adding the following sub-subparagraph:

G.  The amount determined under subsection 60 (1) of the 2023-2024 grant regulation.

(3) Sub-subparagraph 4 i E of section 182 of the Regulation is amended by adding “in section 64 of the 2023-2024 grant regulation” at the end.

(4) Sub-subparagraphs 5 i C to I of section 182 of the Regulation are revoked.

(5) Paragraph 6 of section 182 of the Regulation is revoked.

8. Paragraph 5 of section 183 of the Regulation is revoked.

9. Section 188 of the Regulation is revoked.

10. Section 191 of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:

COVID-19 resilience infrastructure stream amount

191. The COVID-19 resilience infrastructure stream amount is the total of the amounts determined as follows for the projects set out for the board in the document entitled “COVID-19 Resilience Infrastructure Stream: Education Related (CVRIS-EDU) Projects,” dated August 2025:

1.  Take the approved funding amount for the project in Column 7 of the Table set out in the document entitled “COVID-19 Resilience Infrastructure Stream: Education Related (CVRIS-EDU) Projects,” dated August 2025.

2.  Subtract the amount determined for the project under paragraph 2 of subsection 65.2 (1) of the 2020-2021 grant regulation.

3.  Subtract the amount determined for the project under paragraph 4 of subsection 66 (1) of the 2021-2022 grant regulation.

4.  Subtract the amount determined for the project under paragraph 5 of subsection 68 (1) of the 2022-2023 grant regulation.

5.  Subtract the amount determined for the project under paragraph 6 of subsection 67 (1) of the 2023-2024 grant regulation.

6.  Determine the amount of eligible expenditures, as set out in the document entitled “COVID-19 Resilience Infrastructure Stream: Education Related (CVRIS-EDU) Projects,” dated August 2025, for the project that the board incurred during the period beginning on September 1, 2024 and ending on August 31, 2025.

7.  Take the lesser of the amounts determined under paragraphs 5 and 6.

11. Table 8.1 to the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:
