Amending O. Reg. 304/18

(GENERAL)

1. (1) The definition of “construction trade newspaper” in section 1 of Ontario Regulation 304/18 is revoked.

(2) Section 1 of the Regulation is amended by adding the following definition:

“construction trade news website” means any of the following websites:

1. The Daily Commercial News.

2. Link2Build.

3. Ontario Construction News.

2. Sections 5 and 6 of the Regulation are revoked.

3. Section 7 of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:

Notice of annual release of holdback

7. An owner shall publish a notice of annual release of holdback (Form 6) on a construction trade news website.

4. The Regulation is amended by striking out “in a construction trade newspaper” wherever it appears and substituting in each case “on a construction trade news website”.

Commencement

5. This Regulation comes into force on the later of the day section 26 of Schedule 4 to the Building Ontario For You Act (Budget Measures), 2024 comes into force and the day this Regulation is filed.
