Amending Reg. 569 of R.R.O. 1990

(REPORTS)

1. Section 0.1 of Regulation 569 of the Revised Regulations of Ontario, 1990 is revoked and the following substituted:

0.1 In this Regulation,

“out of province dentist” means a person who is exempted from subsections 9 (1) and (2) of the Dentistry Act, 1991 by a regulation made under that Act; (“dentiste hors province”)

“out of province nurse” means a person who is exempted from subsections 11 (1) and (5) of the Nursing Act, 1991 by a regulation made under that Act; (“infirmière ou infirmier hors province”)

“out of province optometrist” means a person who is exempted from subsections 9 (1) and (2) of the Optometry Act, 1991 by a regulation made under that Act; (“optométriste hors province”)

“out of province pharmacy professional” means a person who is exempted from subsections 10 (1) and (2) of the Pharmacy Act, 1991; (“professionnel en pharmacie hors province”)

“out of province physician” means a person who is exempted from subsections 9 (1) and (3) of the Medicine Act, 1991 by a regulation made under that Act and who holds the equivalent of a certificate of registration authorizing independent practice in Ontario. (“médecin hors province”)

0.2 The following persons are prescribed as practitioners for the purposes of clause 25 (2) (g) of the Act:

1.  Out of province dentists.

2.  Out of province nurses.

3.  Out of province optometrists.

4.  Out of province pharmacy professionals.

5.  Out of province physicians.

Commencement

2. This Regulation comes into force on the later of January 1, 2026 and the day this Regulation is filed.
