Amending O. Reg. 135/24
(O.P.P. DETACHMENT BOARDS)
1. Section 9 of Ontario Regulation 135/24 is revoked and the following substituted:
Transition
9. (1) The amendments made by Ontario Regulation 238/26 do not affect the appointment of any of the members of the Bancroft O.P.P. Detachment Board who were appointed jointly by the municipalities that were listed in Column 2 of Item 2 of Table 1 at the time the appointment was made.
(2) On the day Ontario Regulation 238/26 is filed, the members of the O.P.P. detachment board that was formerly for the Killaloe O.P.P. Detachment are continued as members of the O.P.P. detachment board for the Upper Ottawa Valley O.P.P. Detachment that is described in Item 46 of Table 2, subject to subsection (3).
(3) On the day Ontario Regulation 238/26 is filed, the appointment of the member of the O.P.P. detachment board that was formerly for the Killaloe O.P.P. Detachment who was appointed by the South Algonquin Township is terminated.
2. (1) Item 2 of Table 1 to the Regulation is amended by,
(a) striking out “for a total of eight members” in Column 2 and substituting “for a total of nine members”; and
(b) striking out “Municipality of Highlands East, Tudor and Cashel Township” in Column 2 and substituting “Municipality of Highlands East, South Algonquin Township, Tudor and Cashel Township”.
(2) Item 17 of Table 1 to the Regulation is revoked.
3. Table 2 to the Regulation is amended by adding the following item:

Detachment | Algonquins of Pikwakanagan First Nation (Golden Lake), Bonnechere Valley Township, Killaloe, Hagarty and Richards Township, Brudenell, Lyndoch and Raglan Township, Madawaska Valley Township, North Algona Wilberforce Township | One member appointed by each of the following municipalities and First Nation, who is a member of the council of the municipality or band council of the First Nation, for a total of six members: Algonquins of Pikwakanagan First Nation (Golden Lake), Bonnechere Valley Township, Killaloe, Hagarty and Richards Township, Brudenell, Lyndoch and Raglan Township, Madawaska Valley Township and North Algona Wilberforce Township. |
Commencement
4. This Regulation comes into force on the day it is filed.
