Amending Reg. 719 of R.R.O. 1990

(LICENCES TO SELL LIQUOR)

1. The following provisions of Regulation 719 of the Revised Regulations of Ontario, 1990 are amended by adding “or a store operated by Brewers Retail Inc.” after “a government store” wherever that expression appears:

1. Clause 31 (1) (b).

2. Subsection 31.1 (1).

3. Subsection 31.1 (2).

4. Subsection 33 (1).

5. Clause 70 (1) (b).

2. The following provisions of the Regulation are amended by adding “or the store operated by Brewers Retail Inc.” after “the government store” wherever that expression appears:

1. Subsection 31 (2).

2. Subsection 70 (2).

3. (1) Clause 33 (4) (a) of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:

(a) that the sampling is conducted in accordance with the guidelines on the sampling of liquor issued by the Registrar and published on the website of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario, as they are amended from time to time; and

(2) Subsection 33 (6) of the Regulation is amended by adding “or a store to which an authorization under clause 3 (1) (e) or (e.1) of the Liquor Control Act applies” after “a government store”.

4. Subsection 34 (4.1) of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:

(4.1) Despite subsection (1), where a patron, in accordance with subsection 33 (6), has brought sealed, unopened liquor purchased from a government store or a store to which an authorization under clause 3 (1) (e) or (e.1) of the Liquor Control Act applies onto the premises and the liquor has not been opened, the licence holder shall permit the patron to remove the liquor from the premises when the patron departs.

5. Clause 87 (2) (h) of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:

(h) is in compliance with the guidelines related to advertising issued by the Registrar and published on the website of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario, as they are amended from time to time.

Commencement

6. This Regulation comes into force on the day it is filed.
