Amending Reg. 833 of R.R.O. 1990

(CONTROL OF EXPOSURE TO BIOLOGICAL OR CHEMICAL AGENTS)

1. Subsection 2 (1) of Regulation 833 of the Revised Regulations of Ontario, 1990 is revoked.

2. The Regulation is amended by adding the following section:

2.1 Codes of practice relating to exposure of workers to biological or chemical agents that have been approved by the Minister for the purposes of subsection 32.2 (1) of the Act are available on the Ministry’s or the Government of Ontario’s website.

3. Subsection 7.2 (1) of the Regulation is amended by adding “or the employer complies with an applicable code of practice” at the end.

Commencement

4. This Regulation comes into force on the later of July 1, 2016 and the day it is filed.
