Amending O. Reg. 290/98

(BUSINESS PRACTICES PERMISSIBLE TO LANDLORDS IN SELECTING PROSPECTIVE TENANTS FOR RESIDENTIAL ACCOMMODATION)

1. Subsection 2 (2) of Ontario Regulation 290/98 is amended by striking out “sections 117 and 118 of the Tenant Protection Act, 1997” at the end and substituting “sections 105 and 106 of the Residential Tenancies Act, 2006”.

2. Section 3 of the Regulation is amended by striking out “paragraph 1, 1.1, 2 or 3 of subsection 5 (1) or subsection 6 (1) of the Tenant Protection Act, 1997” and substituting “paragraph 1, 2, 3 or 4 of subsection 7 (1) or subsection 8 (1) of the Residential Tenancies Act, 2006”.

3. Section 4 of the Regulation is amended by,

(a) adding “gender identity, gender expression” after “sexual orientation”; and

(b) striking out “handicap” in the English version and substituting “disability”.

Commencement

4. This Regulation comes into force on the day it is filed.
