(TENANCY AGREEMENTS FOR TENANCIES OF A PRESCRIBED CLASS)
1. Section 3 of Ontario Regulation 9/18 is revoked and the following substituted:
Prescribed form of tenancy agreement
3. For the purposes of paragraph 1 of subsection 12.1 (1) of the Act, the prescribed form of tenancy agreement for the prescribed class of tenancies described in paragraph 1 of section 1 of this Regulation is as follows:
1. If the tenancy agreement is entered into on or after December 2, 2020 and before March 1, 2021,
i. the form in English entitled “Residential Tenancy Agreement (Standard Form of Lease)”, dated 2018/01 and available on the website of the Government of Ontario Central Forms Repository,
ii. the form in English entitled “Residential Tenancy Agreement (Standard Form of Lease)”, dated 2020/12 and available on the website of the Government of Ontario Central Forms Repository,
iii. the form in French entitled “Convention de location à usage d’habitation (Bail standard)”, dated 2018/01 and available on the website of the Government of Ontario Central Forms Repository, or
iv. the form in French entitled “Convention de location à usage d’habitation (Bail standard)”, dated 2020/12 and available on the website of the Government of Ontario Central Forms Repository.
2. If the tenancy agreement is entered into on or after March 1, 2021,
i. the form in English entitled “Residential Tenancy Agreement (Standard Form of Lease)”, dated 2020/12 and available on the website of the Government of Ontario Central Forms Repository, or
ii. the form in French entitled “Convention de location à usage d’habitation (Bail standard)”, dated 2020/12 and available on the website of the Government of Ontario Central Forms Repository.
Commencement
2. This Regulation comes into force on the day it is filed.
