Amending Reg. 682 of R.R.O. 1990

(LABORATORIES)

1. (1) Section 1 of Regulation 682 of the Revised Regulations of Ontario, 1990 is amended by adding the following definition:

“COVID-19 point-of-care testing” means testing that employs a COVID-19 medical device authorized by the Minister of Health (Canada) for point-of-care use; (“analyse hors laboratoire visant à dépister la COVID-19”)

(2) The definition of “point-of-care testing” in section 1 of the Regulation is revoked.

2. Subsection 4 (2.1) of the Regulation is revoked.

3. Subsection 8 (3) of the Regulation is revoked.

4. Sections 13.2 and 13.3 of the Regulation are revoked and the following substituted:

13.2 A person who performs COVID-19 point-of-care testing is exempt from sections 5 to 16 of the Act and from the provisions of this Regulation.

5. Subsections 1 (2) and 2 (2) of Ontario Regulation 22/21 are revoked.

Commencement

6. This Regulation comes into force on the day it is filed.
