Amending O. Reg. 489/20

(GRANTS FOR STUDENT NEEDS - LEGISLATIVE GRANTS FOR THE 2020-2021 SCHOOL BOARD FISCAL YEAR)

1. Subsection 9 (1) of Ontario Regulation 489/20 is amended by adding the following paragraphs:

20.1  Memorandum 2020 B26: Intake Request for Funding through the Federal Climate Action Incentive Fund (CAIF), dated December 18, 2020.

20.2  Memorandum 2021 B06: Next Steps for Climate Action Incentive Fund (CAIF) Projects, dated April 9, 2021.

2. Section 58 of the Regulation is amended by adding the following paragraph:

7.1  The climate action incentive fund amount.

3. The Regulation is amended by adding the following section:

Climate action incentive fund amount

65.1 (1) The climate action incentive fund amount is the total of the amounts determined as follows for the projects set out for the board in Column 3 of the Table to section 63.1 of the 2019-2020 grant regulation:

1.  Determine the amount of eligible expenditures for the project under the climate action incentive fund that the board incurred during the period beginning on September 1, 2020 and ending on March 31, 2021, as set out in the following documents:

i.  The document entitled Memorandum 2020 B26: Intake Request for Funding through the Federal Climate Action Incentive Fund (CAIF), dated December 18, 2020.

ii.  The document entitled Memorandum 2021 B06: Next Steps for Climate Action Incentive Fund (CAIF) Projects, dated April 9, 2021.

2.  Subtract the amount determined for the project under section 63.1 of the 2019-2020 grant regulation from the amount specified for the project in Column 4 of the Table to that section.

3.  Take the lesser of the amount determined under paragraphs 1 and 2.

(2) It is a condition of the payment of a grant to a board under this Regulation that the board comply with the requirements set out in the following documents:

1.  The document entitled Memorandum 2020 B26: Intake Request for Funding through the Federal Climate Action Incentive Fund (CAIF), dated December 18, 2020.

2.  The document entitled Memorandum 2021 B06: Next Steps for Climate Action Incentive Fund (CAIF) Projects, dated April 9, 2021.

Commencement

4. This Regulation comes into force on the day it is filed.
