Amending O. Reg. 381/11

(GENERAL)

1. Ontario Regulation 381/11 is amended by adding the following section:

Dispensers and prescribers

1.1 (1) For the purposes of the Act and this Regulation, a “dispenser” includes a person who, due to the application of section 1.3 or subsection 1.4 (2) of Ontario Regulation 107/96 (Controlled Acts) made under the Regulated Health Professions Act, 1991, is exempt from subsection 27 (1) of that Act for the purpose of dispensing a drug that is a monitored drug.

(2) For the purposes of the Act and this Regulation, a “prescriber” includes a person who, due to the application of section 1.3 or subsection 1.4 (2) of Ontario Regulation 107/96 (Controlled Acts) made under the Regulated Health Professions Act, 1991, is exempt from subsection 27 (1) of that Act for the purpose of prescribing a drug that is a monitored drug.

Commencement

2. This Regulation comes into force on the later of the day subsection 8 (1) of Schedule 2 to the Your Health Act, 2023 comes into force and the day this Regulation is filed.
