Amending O. Reg. 392/19

(SPECIAL PAYMENTS FOR PHYSICIAN SERVICES)

1. Ontario Regulation 392/19 is amended by adding the following section:

Special payment, 2023/24

5. (1) A special payment is payable by the Plan to every physician in Ontario who,

(a)  rendered one or more insured services on or after April 1, 2023 and before April 1, 2024; or

(b)  received a payment pursuant to an arrangement under clause 2 (2) (a) of the Act on or after April 1, 2023 and before April 1, 2024.

(2) The amount of the special payment shall be calculated in accordance with the document of the Ministry entitled “Method for the Implementation of 2023/24 Compensation Increases in the OMA and Ministry of Health 2021-24 PSA Year 3 Implementation and 2024-28 Procedural Agreement”.

Commencement

2. This Regulation comes into force on April 1, 2024 or, if this Regulation is filed after that day, this Regulation is deemed to have come into force on that day.
