Amending Reg. 16 of R.R.O. 1990

(GENERAL)

1. Section 6 of Regulation 16 of the Revised Regulations of Ontario, 1990 is amended by adding the following subsection:

(2) A centennial grant of $1500 may be paid to a horticultural society if the society,

(a) has existed for 100 years;

(b) has constructed a permanent commemorative structure commemorating the society; and

(c) has not previously received a grant under this subsection.

2. (1) Subsection 9 (1) of the Regulations is amended by adding “in accordance with this section” after “paid to a horticultural society”.

(2) Subsection 9 (2) of the Regulation is amended by adding “paid in accordance with this section” after “grant” in the portion before clause (a).

3. The Regulation is amended by adding the following sections:

10. The following financial information is prescribed for the purposes of subsection 11 (5) of the Act:

1. In the case of an organization that has an annual revenue greater than $500,000 in a year, audited financial statements for that year.

2. In the case of an organization that has an annual revenue equal to or less than $500,000 in a year,

i. if the organization has an audit conducted, audited financial statements for that year, or

ii. if the organization has not had an audit conducted, financial statements for that year.

11. The following financial information is prescribed for the purposes of clause 15 (1) (a) of the Act:

1. In the case of an organization that has an annual revenue greater than $500,000 in a year, audited financial statements for that year.

2. In the case of an organization that has an annual revenue equal to or less than $500,000 in a year,

i. if the organization has an audit conducted, audited financial statements for that year, or

ii. if the organization has not had an audit conducted, a financial review certificate for that year in a form issued by the Ministry.

Commencement

4. This Regulation comes into force on the latest of the following days:

1. The day section 1 of Schedule 1 to the Less Red Tape, More Common Sense Act, 2023 comes into force.

2. The day section 3 of Schedule 1 to the Less Red Tape, More Common Sense Act, 2023 comes into force.

3. The day section 4 of Schedule 1 to the Less Red Tape, More Common Sense Act, 2023 comes into force.

4. The day section 5 of Schedule 1 to the Less Red Tape, More Common Sense Act, 2023 comes into force.

5. July 1, 2025.

6. The day this Regulation is filed.
