PART-TIME JUDGES

Limit, part-time judges

1. For the purposes of subsection 44 (2) of the Act, the limit is 75 per cent of full-time service in a fiscal year.

Amendment

2. Section 1 of this Regulation is amended by striking out “75 per cent” and substituting “50 per cent”.

Commencement

3. (1) Except as otherwise provided in this section, this Regulation comes into force on the day it is filed.

(2) Section 1 comes into force on the later of the day section 1 of Schedule 7 to the Safer Streets, Stronger Communities Act, 2024 comes into force and the day this Regulation is filed.

(3) Section 2 comes into force on April 1, 2026.
