Amending Reg. 965 of R.R.O. 1990

(HOSPITAL MANAGEMENT)

1. (1) Clause (b) of the definition of “nurse” in subsection 1 (1) of Regulation 965 of the Revised Regulations of Ontario, 1990 is revoked and the following substituted:

(b)  a person who is exempted from subsections 11 (1) and (5) of the Nursing Act, 1991 by a regulation made under that Act and who holds, in another jurisdiction specified in that regulation, the equivalent of a certificate of registration in the general or extended class for registered nurses in Ontario; (“infirmière ou infirmier”)

(2) Clause (b) of the definition of “registered nurse in the extended class” in subsection 1 (1) of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:

(b)  a person who is exempted from subsections 11 (1) and (5) of the Nursing Act, 1991 by a regulation made under that Act and who holds, in another jurisdiction specified in that regulation, the equivalent of a certificate of registration in the extended class for registered nurses in Ontario; (“infirmière autorisée ou infirmier autorisé de la catégorie supérieure”)

2. This Regulation comes into force on the day it is filed.
