Composition of Sponsors Corporation

Appointment to Sponsors Corporation

1. (1) On or before April 14, 2026, CUPE Local 416 shall, in its sole discretion, appoint one member of the Sponsors Corporation for a term that begins on April 15, 2026 and ends on the earlier of April 14, 2029 and the day section 11 of Schedule 13 to the Plan to Protect Ontario Act (Budget Measures), 2025 (No. 2) comes into force.

(2) As soon as possible after making the appointment under subsection (1), CUPE Local 416 shall notify the Sponsors Corporation in writing of the appointment.

(3) CUPE Local 79 may not appoint a member of the Sponsors Corporation for the term that begins on April 15, 2026.

(4) For clarity, a person appointed by CUPE Local 416 under subsection (1) may be the same person who was previously appointed by CUPE Local 416 and whose term ends on April 14, 2026.

(5) In this section,

“CUPE Local 416” means CUPE Local 416 (Toronto Civic Employees Union) of the Canadian Union of Public Employees; (“section locale 416 du SCFP”)

“CUPE Local 79” means CUPE Local 79 of the Canadian Union of Public Employees. (“section locale 79 du SCFP”)

Commencement

2. This Regulation comes into force on the day it is filed.
