Sections 218.2 And 218.2.1 of the Act, Regional Municipality of Niagara and County of Simcoe

Modification to s. 275 of the Act

1. For the purposes of implementing sections 218.2 and 218.2.1 of the Act, section 275 of the Act is modified by adding the following subsection:

(2.1) With respect to the 2026 regular election of the new councils of the Regional Municipality of Niagara and the County of Simcoe, the determination under subsection (1) shall not be made until after nomination day.

Commencement

2. This Regulation comes into force on the day it is filed.
