Amending O. Reg. 1/17

(REGISTRATIONS UNDER PART II.2 OF THE ACT - ACTIVITIES REQUIRING ASSESSMENT OF AIR EMISSIONS)

1. (1) Subsection 6 (1) of Ontario Regulation 1/17 is amended by striking out “that forms part of an undertaking or project to which Part II.1 or II.3 of the Environmental Assessment Act applies” in the portion before clause (a) and substituting “that is or forms part of an undertaking or project to which Part II.1, II.3 or II.4 of the Environmental Assessment Act applies”.

(2) Subsection 6 (1) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “or” at the end for clause (a), by adding “or” at the end of clause (b) and by adding the following clause:

(c)  in the case of a Part II.4 project, all of the requirements prescribed under the Environmental Assessment Act for commencing the project have been met.

(3) Subsection 6 (2) of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:

“Part II.3 project”, “Part II.4 project” and “undertaking” have the same meaning as in the Environmental Assessment Act.

Commencement

2. This Regulation comes into force on the later of January 1, 2027 and the day this Regulation is filed.
