We supported more than 2,000 events and initiatives that:

  • celebrated and showcased Ontario across the province

Community projects and programs

Ontario150 offered one-time funding through the Ontario150 Community Celebration, Ontario150 Partnership and Ontario150 Capital programs

  • Ontario150 Partnership Program – supported collaborative projects that fostered new partnerships and innovative ways to engage and empower youth to support the economic and social future of Ontario communities
  • Ontario150 Community Celebration Program – supported initiatives that celebrated and commemorated Canada and Ontario’s 150th anniversary such as multi-cultural events, art exhibitions, sporting events and local food festivals
  • Ontario150 Community Capital Program – helped municipalities, not-for-profit community organizations and Indigenous communities improve existing infrastructure through repairs, renovations or retrofitting
