Provincial court offices closed for National Day for Truth and Reconciliation
Provincial court offices will be closed on Wednesday, September 30, 2026 in honour of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
The ministry’s online filing services will remain available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including on September 30, 2026. However, any documents submitted that day through the ministry’s online portals or by email, will be marked as filed/issued on the next business day, October 1, 2026.
Provincial Offences Act court offices
In Ontario, Provincial Offences Act (POA) court offices are administered by municipalities. Some of these court offices may be open on September 30, 2026. Contact your local POA office for more information. According to Ontario Court of Justice scheduling direction for provincial offences court, any documents filed on September 30, 2026, will be marked as filed/issued on the next business day, October 1, 2026.
