Land Registry
Ontario’s land registry services are only available online. The registry contains the official records of property ownership and other legal interests such as mortgages, transfers and leases. It covers more than 7.4 million parcels of land in the province.
Overview
Authorized users register documents in the electronic land registration system when people and businesses buy, sell, finance or make other legal changes to a property. ServiceOntario reviews and certifies registrations, updates the information on property title and ensures records integrity.
Note: Land registration records can be quite complex. ServiceOntario cannot search, give legal advice or explain the records of any property. You may want to contact a professional such as a lawyer, title searcher or surveyor for help.
