Contraventions

The Superintendent has order Sean Gibson and The Ontario Barber Association to:

  • Stop advertising the provision of an unapproved vocational program contrary to subsection 11 (2) of the Private Career Colleges Act, 2005 and,
  • Stop offering the provision of an unapproved vocational program contrary to subsection 8 (1) of the Private Career Colleges Act, 2005.

Required actions

By October 30, 2019, Sean Gibson and The Ontario Barber Association is required by the Superintendent to provide written confirmation signed by the sole proprietor or a person with authority to bind the corporation, together with all available supporting evidence, confirming that they have:

  • Stopped advertising the provision of an unapproved vocational program contrary to subsection 11 (2) of the Private Career Colleges Act, 2005 and,
  • Stopped offering the provision of an unapproved vocational program contrary to subsection 8 (1) of the Private Career Colleges Act, 2005.
