Grid cells description and tables
For the purposes of applying for potential wind and solar power sites located on Crown land in Ontario the province has been divided into grid areas known as "grid cells". A grid cell is bounded by lines of geographic latitudes and longitudes based on the NAD 83 (CSR98) datum. The area of a grid cell varies depending on its latitude and longitude but generally will be within 45 to 65 hectares.
