Minister’s requirement for fees with Environmental Activity & Sector Registry
A breakdown of the fees you need to pay to register an activity for the Environmental Activity & Sector Registry (EASR). EASR is an online registry for eligible activities that pose minimal risk to the environment and human health when regulated, and to which pre-set rules of operation can be applied.
Fees for registration in the Environmental Activity and Sector Registry established under Part II.2 of the Environmental Protection Act.
Interpretation
- In this Requirement,
- “Director”
- means a Director appointed under Section 5 of the Environmental Protection Act for the purposes of Part II.2 of the Act.
- “EASR”
- means the Environmental Activity and Sector Registry established under Part II.2 of the Environmental Protection Act.
Payment of fee
- A person registering an activity in the EASR pursuant to Part II.2 of the Environmental Protection Act shall pay a fee at the time of registration.
- The amount of the fee payable under section 2 is the amount set out in column 1 of the table to this section that is opposite the activity set out in column 2 at the date of registration described in column 3.

- The fee shall be payable in an electronic format specified in the EASR.
Refunds
- The Director may refund the full amount of the fee paid under Section 2 if the registration in respect of which the fee was paid is removed from the EASR pursuant to section 20.23 of the Environmental Protection Act.
Payee
- All fees payable under this Requirement are payable to the Minister of Finance.
Commencement
- This Requirement comes into force on January 31, 2017.
Revocation of the previous requirements
- All previous requirements that establish fees to register an activity in the EASR are revoked on the day this requirement comes into force.
