Order in Council 1269/2016

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

whereas Monique Smith was appointed Ontario’s Representative in Washington, D.C., by OC 1190/2013 dated August 14, 2013 to serve at the pleasure of the Lieutenant Governor in Council for a period not exceeding three years effective September 9, 2013

and whereas the Lieutenant Governor in Council considers it advisable to extend that appointment for a further three years

therefore pursuant to the Prerogative of Her Majesty The Queen in Right of Ontario to provide for the appointment of advisors to serve Her Majesty’s Government of Ontario in the discharge of its executive obligations and responsibilities

Monique Smith is hereby reappointed as Ontario’s Representative in Washington, D.C., to serve for a further period not exceeding three years effective September 9, 2016 under the same terms and conditions as specified in OC 1190/2013.
