Order in Council 576/2020

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas pursuant to subsection 5(1) of the Education Act, the Minister of Education may, subject to the approval of the Lieutenant Governor in Council, order the closing of a school or any class thereof for a specified period;

Therefore, pursuant to subsection 5(1) of the Education Act, the order of the Minister of Education, dated March 30, 2020, requiring that every school, as defined in that Act, be closed, subject to the exceptions noted in that order, for the period of April 6, 2020, through May 3, 2020, be approved effective April 6, 2020.
