Order in Council 909/2022

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas the position of Community Opportunities Advocate, known as the Advocate for Community Opportunities (“the Advocate”), was established by Order in Council 1718/2019, dated November 28, 2019, for a period not extending beyond March 31, 2022;

And whereas the Government of Ontario wishes for the Advocate to continue to provide strategic advice and identify actions that may improve outcomes in marginalized communities;

Therefore, pursuant to the prerogative power of Her Majesty the Queen in Right of Ontario to appoint special advisors to serve Her Majesty’s Government of Ontario in the discharge of its executive obligations and responsibilities, the establishment of the Advocate’s position is hereby extended for a period ending no later than November 15, 2022.
