Inclusive Community Grants
Learn how the Inclusive Community Grants Program helped communities become more inclusive and accessible for people of all ages and abilities.
The Inclusive Community Grants Program has ended. This program has been combined with the EnAbling Change Program into a new, streamlined initiative called the Enhancing Access to Spaces for Everyone (EASE) Grant.
Overview
The Inclusive Community Grants Program provided funding to local governments, not-for-profit organizations and Indigenous communities/organizations.
The goal of the program was to encourage local government and community organizations to consider Ontarians of all ages and abilities at every stage of community planning and development.
The program provided up to $60,000 in grant funding to eligible applicants for projects that:
- increased the accessibility of outdoor spaces by making improvements to the built environment to create equitable access to community resources
- promoted accessible housing through projects that result in tangible products
- made practical, timely improvements to increase accessible housing, outdoor spaces, buildings, and transportation needs
The Inclusive Community Grants Program supported over 100 projects in communities across Ontario.
