Ontario Community Infrastructure Fund (OCIF)

The Ontario Community Infrastructure Fund (OCIF) provides funding to help small, rural and northern communities renew and rehabilitate critical infrastructure.

In 2022, the government doubled its annual investment for OCIF to nearly $2 billion over five years to support more local infrastructure projects in small, rural and northern communities.

Formula-based funding

Using a fair and transparent formula that recognizes that communities have different infrastructure needs and economic conditions, Ontario will provide $400 million to 425 communities across the province in 2024.
