Her Honour the Lieutenant Governor entered the Chamber of the Legislative Assembly and took her seat upon the Throne.

The Speaker addressed Her Honour as follows:-

“May it please Your Honour:

The Legislative Assembly of the Province has, at its present meetings thereof, passed certain bills to which, in the name and on behalf of the said Legislative Assembly, I respectfully request Your Honour’s assent.”

The Deputy Clerk and Executive Director of Legislative Services then read the titles of the bills that had passed as follows:-

“The following are the titles of the bills to which Your Honour’s assent is prayed:

Bill 65
An Act to amend the Remembrance Week Act, 2016.
[S.O. 2023, Chapter 14]

Bill 79
An Act to amend various statutes with respect to employment and labour and other matters.
[S.O. 2023, Chapter 15]

An Act to revive 1105954 Ontario Limited.
[S.O. 2023, Chapter Pr14]

Bill Pr22
An Act to revive League Technique Inc.
[S.O. 2023, Chapter Pr15]

[S.O. 2023, Chapter Pr16]

To these Acts the Royal Assent was announced by the Clerk of the Legislative Assembly in the following words:-

“In His Majesty’s name, Her Honour the Lieutenant Governor doth assent to these bills.”

Her Honour was then pleased to retire.

Notice of Election

A Provincial By-Election will be held to choose a representative for the Legislative Assembly of Ontario on Thursday, November 30, 2023.

Qualified Electors in the Electoral District of Kitchener Centre should take note of the following information:

Additions to the List of Electors

Qualified electors whose names are not on the List of Electors may be added to the List by making a statutory declaration and providing proof of identity and proof of residence before 8 p.m., Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at their electoral district’s Returning Office or during voting hours at an Advance Poll in the Electoral District or apply to have their name added to the List during voting hours at their voting location on Election Day.

Official Nomination of Candidates Closes
Thursday, November 16, 2023 at 2 p.m. in the Returning Office.

Advance Polls will be held at locations* chosen for ease of access from Sunday, November 19, 2023 to Friday, November 24, 2023 from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m.
* Advance poll locations will be advertised at a later date.

Voting Hours from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m.

Office Hours:
10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Saturday
12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday*
