Overview

We want to hear from individuals, communities and organizations with experience or perspectives on poverty in Ontario to help inform our next poverty reduction strategy.

We welcome a wide range of submissions — from personal stories to community observations and suggestions. Whether you are an individual with lived experience, a family member, an employer, a service provider or part of a community group, your voice matters.

You can also take part by completing a survey.

Note: We cannot advise on, advocate for or act on individual matters.

Create your submission

When creating your submission, please consider some of the following questions:

  • How does poverty affect your day-to-day life or the lives of people in your community?
  • What are some challenges or barriers you or your community face in meeting essential needs (for example, housing, food, healthcare, education and employment, childcare and/or transportation)?
  • What are some programs, support and services that have made a positive difference in preventing or addressing poverty? What made them work?
  • What are some ideas about how we can help reduce poverty in your community or in the province?
  • What else would you like to share with us?

Please do not include names or any personal information that could identify you or others.
