Ontario’s Poverty Reduction Act, 2009 requires the government to develop a poverty reduction strategy and assess it at least every 5 years.

2020–2025 poverty reduction strategy

We are assessing the current poverty reduction strategy and developing a new strategy for Ontario.

We received feedback through surveys and written submissions as part of the public consultation held earlier this year. We thank everyone who shared their experiences and ideas to help develop the next poverty reduction strategy.
