Order in Council 1049/2019

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas Ontario Mortgage and Housing Corporation (“OMHC”) is the registered owner of or holds an interest in certain lands described in Schedule “A” attached hereto (the “Lands”);

Whereas Her Majesty the Queen in Right of Ontario as represented by the Minister of Government and Consumer Services manages the Lands on a day to day basis and pays all applicable operating and maintenance costs associated with the Lands;

Whereas it is expedient that administration and control of the Lands be transferred to Her Majesty the Queen in Right of Ontario as represented by the Minister of Government and Consumer Services;

Whereas OMHC and Her Majesty the Queen in Right of Ontario as represented by the Minister of Government and Consumer Services have agreed to execute such documents as may be necessary to effect the transfer;

Now therefore, pursuant to the inherent jurisdiction of the Lieutenant Governor in Council, the administration and control of the Lands, together with any rights or interests appurtenant to the Lands, including any leases affecting the Lands, are hereby transferred by this Order-in-Council from OMHC to Her Majesty the Queen in Right of Ontario as represented by the Minister of Government and Consumer Services.
