This map is based on licences issued by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario. It does not include licensed restaurants and bars that can sell alcohol with food as part of a takeout or delivery order. Visit your local restaurants and bars to learn more about what’s available.

We’re expanding the province’s alcohol beverage marketplace in phases to allow convenience, grocery and big-box grocery stores to sell beer, cider, wine and ready-to-drink alcoholic beverages, such as coolers, hard seltzer or other premixed cocktails.
Timing
July 18, 2024
Grocery stores that are currently licensed to sell beer, wine or cider will also be able to sell:
- ready-to-drink beverages
- large-pack sizes
September 5, 2024
Licensed convenience stores will be able to sell:
- beer
- cider
- wine
- ready-to-drink beverages
October 31, 2024
Licensed grocery and big-box grocery stores will be able to sell:
- beer
- cider
- wine
- ready-to-drink beverages
- large-pack sizes
LCBO
Aside from distillery retail stores and LCBO Convenience Outlets, the LCBO is the only retailer where spirits, such as vodka, gin and whisky, will be sold.
The LCBO will remain a public asset. It will continue to operate as a retailer and a wholesaler to the new marketplace.
The Beer Store
The Beer Store will operate as a retailer and will continue the provincewide recycling program for alcoholic beverage containers and distribution until at least 2031.
