Project overview
Implement innovative technologies to reduce the energy demand by 30 per cent for treating water and wastewater.
The project includes:
- installing more efficient equipment
- using smart grid technology
- upgrading system controls
- installing technology developed at Lakehead University
Expected outcomes
- reduced operating costs from less energy use
- improved water quality
- real-world testing of a university-developed technology
