College and University Strategic Mandate Agreements, 2014-2017
Read the agreements between Ontario and the 45 colleges and universities that receive public funding from the province.
Overview
Each of the 45 publicly funded colleges and universities has an agreement highlighting institutional priorities. These are called Strategic Mandate Agreements.
We worked with each colleges and universities to develop the Strategic Mandate Agreements. They are in place until 2017, when a new round of agreements will be negotiated.
Each agreement outlines:
- the strengths of each college and university
- how Ontario and each school can work together to build on strengths
- e.g. reducing overlapping programs between schools

Ontario has signed an agreement with 24 colleges across the province.
