Introduction
Ontario’s cultural media industries are the companies and people whose primary occupation is creating, producing, and/or monetizing intellectual property-based creative products like film, music, interactive digital media, etc.
Programs and services
Ontario Creates supports innovation and economic development in the cultural media sector through a variety of funding programs and business support services.
These include industry development programs, export funds, content production funds and research funds.

Tax incentives
Ontario has five tax credits to assist the film and television, book publishing and interactive digital media industries:
- Ontario Film and Television Tax Credit
- Ontario Production Services Tax Credit
- Ontario Computer Animation and Special Effects Tax Credit
- Ontario Interactive Digital Media Tax Credit
- Ontario Book Publishing Tax Credit
