Basic Accommodation Premium (BAP)

BAP funding is provided to an eligible licensee who expands access to basic accommodation as part of a development or redevelopment project in accordance with the Long-Term Care Home Capital Development Funding Policy, 2020 (2020 CFS).

Basic Accommodation Premium (BAP) funding of $2.40 per diem will be paid to an eligible licensee for all 2020 CFS-eligible beds, or construction funding-eligible beds under a Transfer Payment Agreement (TPA) executed between the ministry and the licensee in 2020 or later for the development or redevelopment of long-term care beds, only if 50% or more of the beds in the home are offered as basic accommodation. BAP funding is allocated as a supplementary per diem in the Other Accommodation envelope.
