Illegal collection has been identified as a significant threat to the Spotted Turtle in Ontario. The Survey Protocol for Spotted Turtle (Clemmys guttata) in Ontario contains information on how to search for and locate this species in the wild, which has the potential to increase the risk of illegal collection. For this reason, this document has not been posted on the Ontario Government website. If you require this document to inform Spotted Turtle research, conservation or management activities, please contact recovery.planning@ontario.ca to request a copy.
