Outdoors Card

outdoors cardsAn Outdoors Card is required to obtain a fishing or hunting licence. It accompanies your Ontario fishing or hunting licence tag. The Outdoors Card is valid for 3 calendar years and is used for identification and administrative purposes.

To get a fishing version Outdoors Card online you will need:

  • to be a resident of Canada
  • to be 18 to 65 years old (inclusive)
  • your first and last name
  • your date of birth
  • your mailing and residential address
  • your height and eye colour

Canadian residents under the age of 18, or over the age of 65, do not need an Outdoors Card and fishing licence to fish in Ontario.

To get a hunting/fishing Outdoors Card online you will also need:

  • to be a resident of Ontario, and
  • to have proof of hunter accreditation in our system. For more information about your hunter accreditation profile, please contact the Outdoors Card Centre at 1-800-387-7011 or visit a ServiceOntario centre.

To change your address on your Outdoors Card, you must visit a ServiceOntario centre or call us toll-free at 1-800-387-7011. You will need:

  • your Outdoors card number
  • your date of birth
  • both your old and new address
