Acknowledgements

Special thanks to the staff at the 70 different organizations across the mental health, education and health sectors CPRI worked with for over 7 years as we supported implementation of the interRAI child/youth suite of assessments. Your commitment to serving children and youth is inspiring, and your collaborative spirit has been integral to the development of the novel and practical resources offered in this toolkit.

About CPRI

The Child and Parent Resource Institute (CPRI) is directly operated by the Government of Ontario. CPRI provides trauma-informed, highly-specialized assessment, treatment, and targeted intervention services for children and youth with complex combinations of special needs, including developmental disabilities, autism and severe behavioural, emotional and mental health challenges.

CPRI partnered with interRAI to create foundational tools for the assessment of children and youth receiving mental health services.

As part of CPRI’s role in supporting service delivery in Ontario, CPRI’s Applied Research department supported implementation of selected interRAI child/youth suite assessments internally and across the province to contribute to achieving the following goals:

  • Availability of high quality, responsive services
  • A consistent, data-informed approach to child/youth mental health services
