  • notices, orders, regulations and other documents, within the authority of the Legislature that require publication
  • advertisements, notices and publications that are required from:
    • the Crown
    • any ministry of the Government of Ontario
    • any public authority, or by any officer or person.

Any notices or information that do not meet these requirements, may still be published, at the discretion of the Queen’s Printer.

How to place a notice

If you are a new client, please contact us at 416-326-5310 to determine if your notice meets the Gazette’s publishing criteria.

If you are an existing client and want to publish a notice in the Gazette, please send your completed request form along with your notice in Microsoft Word format to Gazette@ontario.ca.

If you are submitting more than one notice for publication, please ensure that each notice is correctly identified on the form. English and French versions of a notice should be attached separately. We cannot accept attachments larger than 10MB.

Submissions are due by 3 p.m. on Thursday, 9 days before publication of the issue in which they should appear. Please allow an extra day for weeks with a statutory or government holiday.

We will email you to confirm we received your notice and to provide you with a date of publication. You can also confirm that your notice was published online.

If you have any questions regarding our publishing guidelines, please contact our office, from Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at 416-326-5310 or send an email to Gazette@ontario.ca.

Your first electronically submitted notice costs $75 for up to ¼ of a page.

Repeat insertions of the same notice cost $40 each. They must be ordered at the same time as the original.

Payment for private notices can be made by Visa or Mastercard or by cheque or money order payable to the Minister of Finance.
