1. Weigh-ins

  1. The Supervisor (Official) is in charge of running the weigh-ins. The Event Coordinator is required to provide the following key requirements at the weigh-ins:
    1. Ensure the location is private so that no spectators or onlookers are present, including separate rooms for males and females.
    2. Warm-up rooms are not used as change rooms or weigh-in rooms.
    3. Ensure that the facility has sufficient space/rooms and is sanitary and void of hazards so that the medicals can be conducted with safety and confidentiality.
    4. Ensure the weigh-in schedule is communicated to all coaches, athletes, and Supervisor.
    5. Ensure the weigh-ins are conducted without the presence of athletes of the opposite sex.
    6. Weigh-in and medicals must occur no more than 2 hours before the event is scheduled to begin.
    7. Provide scales at least two hours in advance of the Event and complete all weigh-ins (in kilograms) at least one hour prior to the Event.
    8. In a tournament format event, the amount of time allotted for weigh-ins can be increased due to the increased number of athletes.
    9. Athletes shall weigh in on the day they are scheduled to box.
    10. Contestants will be weighed wearing their competition attire or mandatory article of clothing covering male/female genitalia.
    11. Contestants will not be allowed to change out of their weigh-in attire into their normal attire in the weigh-in area. Contestants should be directed to a private area away from the weigh-in area.
